Galentine’s Day 2019

I didn’t realize how important Galentine’s day was until a year ago. I reconnected with some old friends from high school thanks to my best friend Yily. It was awesome! Last year we spent Galentine’s day watching Fifty Shades of something which was mainly most of us yelling at how dumb it was. But this year we got to look cute (I even wore pink! Gasp!) and kick back at the sisters (Isa and Lu’s) house.

It was a day filled with great food, drinks, and lots of laughter. We watched a cheesy romantic comedy which had a dark hair Hayden Christensen aka Anakin Skywalker who has aged mighty fine if ya ask me. The movie is called Little Italy. It’s on Amazon Prime. You’re welcome. We also discovered a lot of us had crabs and before you jump to conclusion it’s a game! I think the girls learned to never let Yily and I be on a team together because we totally annihilated them… in a total girl support girl kind of way!

Galentine’s day is a great day to be with your girls, unwind, talk about your goals and just be there in the moment lending open ears and minds. It’s a great day to deepen the connection you have with your female friends. Having female friends differ from having male friends. They understand the things you go through physically, mentally and emotionally. They’re hard to find but like most rare items in the world they are the most valuable and treasured.

So what did I learn this Galentine’s?

  1. Yily and I are unstoppable on a team together.
  2. The sister’s mom makes the best homemade hot chocolate.
  3. My girls need to get comfortable in front of a camera by March 1st because I have ideas.

So crack open a bottle of wine and stuff your face today! You, my female friend deserve it with all the BS you go through just for having the ability to carry children!

Also enjoy this photos that they may yell at me for posting but I love them the most….and will totally turn some into a meme.

“If you can find a group of women, any age, who are supportive and kind and love you, that’s the best. I have a group of girlfriends that I would lay in front of a bus for. They’ve picked me up through really, really bad times and I can definitely say I’ve done the same for them.” — Katie Lowes
